Harassment
Harassment or bullying is not limited to any specific environment and can occur anywhere, including universities. Harassment or bullying can come from fellow students, teachers, or staff, and it may even manifest at events.
VAMOK provides support to all students who experience harassment or bullying. We have dedicated harassment contact persons who are ready to assist you if you are unsure whom to talk to about your experience. Harassment contact persons can guide you to the right place to get the help you need and are there to support you as needed.
Harassment contact persons
Harassment contact persons operate with complete confidentiality. They can only discuss the matter with relevant parties if you give them permission to do so. Although they are not healthcare professionals, they are bound by confidentiality and serve as a support and mediation resource for students.
You can easily reach out to the harassment contact persons via email or through the contact form on the website. You can choose whether you want to contact both harassment contact persons or just one of them. Everyone has the right to a safe learning environment.
Here's what to do if you experience harassment or bullying:
If the situation has occurred during a course, contact the teacher of that course.
If the situation has occurred at a VAMOK event, get in touch with the harassment contact person.
If the situation has occurred at a nightclub, contact the venue’s bouncer/security personnel.
If you are unsure about what to do, contact the harassment contact person.
