Sports timetable

Weekly sport shifts

Free and regular sports sessions are one of the benefits of VAMOK membership. Members are welcome to participate in our guided group exercise classes as well as free playing times for futsal, floorball, volleyball, basketball, and badminton.

There may be changes and cancellations to the sports sessions. Information about these will be provided on this website and in the session’s own WhatsApp group. Participation in the sessions is free by proving that one is a student of VAMK, and this is most easily done by showing a valid VAMOK student card or VAMOK membership card.

Wasa Sports Club

Participation in the gym and sports sessions organized by Wasa Sport Club (WSC) for VAMOK members is free, but entry requires WSC’s own access tag. As a member of VAMOK, you can get this tag for free and by showing it at the reception, you can participate in the sessions. To obtain the access tag, you need to fill in your details through their website at this address.

After this, on your first visit, you can receive the access tag at the Wasa Sports Club reception desk in exchange for your valid student card and the order confirmation email you received. Keep the tag safe, as it is required for entry to the sessions.

Instructions for filling in your details via the link:

  1. Select training cards.
  2. Contract: choose VAMOK.
  3. Duration of the contract: all.
  4. Fill in your details and continue.
  5. Check the box to accept the terms and conditions and click confirm.
  6. After this, a confirmation of your membership will appear on the screen and in your email.
  7. Take the order confirmation email and your valid student card and go to Wasa Sports Club.

Sports timetable for the academic year 2024-2025

Team sport shifts (floorball, badminton, and futsal) will not be held from December 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025, due to the Christmas holiday.

FREE USE OF THE GYM at 14.00-17.00

  • You may enter the gym shift between 14.00 and 16.30 by showing your WSC entry tag at the gym reception.

FLOORBALL 20.00-21.30

  • Equipment: bring your own stick and indoor shoes

Wasa Sports Club, free access to guided classes from 10 to 20 

  • Inform the reception that you are attending a class, and you will receive a workout slip that will be collected at the beginning of the class. You can find the schedule here.

BADMINTON at 19.30-21.00 

  • Location: Porvarikadun koulu 13-15,  65100 Vaasa
  • Equipment: Bring your own indoor shoes and racket

YIN YOGA at 17.30-18.15/18.40

Remote exercise

From this facebook group you will find weekly changing exercise videos, where Wasa Sports Club instructors guide you through sweat inducing Tabata training and restorative body maintenance. In addition, you will find five minute break time workout videos, which prevent muscle stiffness caused by sitting on the computer.
